Caltex Engine Oil in Pakistan: The Full Range, Now at Autoverse
Share
Engine oil is the cheapest insurance you will ever buy for your vehicle. Skip it, stretch the drain interval, or pour in a counterfeit bottle from a roadside shop, and the repair bill will cost more than a decade of proper oil changes. That is why Autoverse now stocks the Caltex range, produced by Chevron Pakistan Lubricants (Pvt.) Limited, formerly Caltex Pakistan Limited.
Why Caltex
Caltex is not a new name in this market. It has been lubricating Pakistani engines for decades, and the formulations sold here are built for local conditions: high ambient temperatures, stop-start city traffic, dusty roads, and fuel quality that is not always consistent. The range splits cleanly into three families, so choosing the right product is simple once you know what you drive.
Havoline for Cars
Havoline is the passenger car line. At the top sits Havoline ProDS, a fully synthetic oil available in 0W-20, 5W-30 and 5W-40. If you drive a newer Japanese or European car with a turbocharged or direct-injection engine, this is the grade your manual is asking for. It flows fast on cold starts, holds viscosity when the engine is hot, and resists the deposit build-up that chokes modern engines.
For older cars and workhorse sedans, Havoline Motor Oil 20W-50 and Motor Oil Extra 10W-40 do the job at a sensible price. Havoline Formula 10W-30 sits in between. And if your car runs on CNG, Havoline CNG 20W-50 is formulated specifically for the higher combustion temperatures and nitration that gas engines produce. Running a standard petrol oil in a CNG car is a common and expensive mistake.
Havoline for Motorcycles and Scooters
Bikes share their oil with the gearbox and wet clutch, so car oil is the wrong answer. Havoline Super 4T 20W-50, MCO Super 4T 10W-40 and MCO 4T 20W-40 are built for four-stroke motorcycles: clutch-friendly, shear-stable, and rated to handle the heat of a bike engine sitting in Lahore or Karachi traffic.
Delo for Trucks and Buses
Commercial vehicles earn money only when they are moving. Delo Silver SAE 40, SAE 50, SAE 20W-50 and Delo Silver Extra Multi 20W-50 are heavy-duty diesel oils designed for long hauls, heavy loads and extended drain intervals. For fleet operators, the maths is straightforward: fewer unscheduled workshop days per truck per year pays for the oil several times over.
Picking the Right Grade
Open your owner's manual first. It will specify a viscosity grade and an API service class. Match both. If the manual is missing, tell us the make, model, year and fuel type and we will point you to the correct product. Do not guess, and do not assume thicker oil is safer, because modern engines with tight tolerances need the exact grade they were designed around.
